Fig Arugula Prosciutto Bites

If you are looking for an amazing flavor combination, look no further! This is my absolute favorite hors d’oeuvre to serve when people come over. The sweetness of the fig, paired with the saltiness of the prosciutto, all tied together by the arugula, make this the perfect bite. It is very quick to make and looks incredibly impressive. It is simple, beautiful, and pairs perfectly with wine or cocktails.

Ingredients:

  • 12 fresh figs, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 12 slices prosciutto
  • 1/2 cup arugula
  • Balsamic glaze

Directions:

  • Cut each slice of prosciutto in half so that you have 2 long thin strips from each slice
  • Take 5-7 pieces of arugula and tear off the stems
  • Place arugula on one of the ends of the prosciutto slice
  • Squeeze small amount of balsamic glaze on the cut side of the fig
  • Place fig glaze side down on top of the arugula
  • Tightly roll the prosciutto until you have a compact bite
  • Place on a platter and serve
  • Enjoy!

This can be made up to 6 hours in advance. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
