This is a quick and easy chicken recipe. I used chicken breast, but you can use any part of the chicken that you prefer. It tastes great after an hour of marinating, but the longer the chicken sits in the marinade, the deeper the flavour. If you like a little kick, add some red pepper flakes to the marinade. I like to serve this chicken with rice or grilled veggies. Enjoy
Ingredients:
- 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp minced ginger
- 1/4 tsp honey
- cilantro to serve
Directions:
Wash and dry chicken.
Lightly salt the chicken with 1/2 tsp salt
In a small bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, minced ginger, and honey . Add chicken, cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
Bake in oven at 400F for 25 -35 minutes. Cooking time will vary based on the thickness of the chicken. Check the chicken after 20 minutes. It is ready when juices run clear.
Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and serve.
